We’ll need to check with the host the reservation. We do our best to let you know within two minutes via email. Please check your spam/junk mail folders in case this email is there by mistake.

Due to the current situation PayPal, Stripe and YandexPay are accepted as payment methods.

One thing we really appreciated about this service is that all taxes, service charges, and gratuities are included in the price you see, so if you receive a TAX STATEMENT you SHOULD instantly contact us to solve the problem.

Let’s keep things simple. Unless you have a Away coupon to use, you can’t split the total cost of your Away stay or experience across multiple payment methods. Meaning, you can’t pay using two different credit cards.

You can edit or remove a payment method directly from your profile in the section general>privacy>payment methods.

Booking Questions

Change of plans? No problem. As long your reservation status is still Pending, you can withdraw your request and send a new one: Just go to your message thread with the Host and select  Withdraw request, or you can go to Trips and cancel a pending trip request.

After that, simply send a new request with your updated details. 

After you’ve canceled or withdrawn the request, you can then send a new request with your changed dates or number of guests.

First, check the status of your request. If the Host has already accepted it, then it’s subject to their cancellation policy. If it’s still pending, you can cancel, and you won’t be charged for the reservation or the service fees.

 

You can access to “MY PROFILE” on Away home page main page using your e-mail address, and check there the status of your reservations, payments made and/or pending, etc.

To find a reservation you booked, either choose the message thread with the Host in your Inbox, or go to your Trips page and click or tap Show more trip plans, then Show details.

 

You just made a reservation—congrats! So, what happens next? Your payment method will be charged as soon as your reservation is confirmed (excluding security deposits). This applies for Instant Book too.

No matter how far in advance you book, the Host doesn’t receive payment until 24 hours after your scheduled check-in. This gives both of you time to make sure everything is as expected.

Help on your reservations

You’ll have two options:

  • Transfer your payment to a new Away reservation; or
  • Get a full refund

The Resolution Center is the department of our company you can keep in contact with when some problems or disputes arise. You can contact them at resolutioncenter.Away@gmail.com

If you left something behind at at a place you stayed, message your host directly for help. If you need to have an item sent to you, you can send your host money to cover the shipping cost directly through our Resolution Center.

Unless you’ve found an Instant book listing, you’ll have to request that the Host accept your stay. At the Confirm and pay stage of your request, you’ll need to include a brief message about why you’re traveling and when you’ll check-in.
